Amanda

Meet Amanda, a true testament to the power of determination! In her mid-twenties, Amanda noticed that she was gradually gaining weight, gaining a pound each year. Frustrated after a month of intense running with no results, she sought my guidance. Amanda had always been an active soul, with a love for Orangetheory, hitting the gym 4-5 days a week and supplementing this with yoga and running. Our strategy? A 180-degree turn! I encouraged Amanda to do strength training of the brutal cardio routine three times a week in addition to yoga. It was a stark contrast to her usual six days of cardio, but we knew it was the key to her transformation.

Amanda didn't stop there. She dove into nutrition and improved her daily choices and habits. Goodbye processed foods! Hello conscious consideration of macros and timing. Her energy soared and those annoying afternoon slumps were a thing of the past. She was operating on a whole new level!

Today, Amanda continues her training with me weekly, keeping her accountable even during her busiest workdays. It's a daily routine created through years of consistency and hard work. She's not just a customer; she is a dear friend and an inspiration.

“It would be difficult to find a better trainer in Amsterdam; In fact, after my time with Sigrid, I would consider her not only my trainer but also my friend. Her energy energized me and actually made me look AHEAD of my sessions, instead of dreading them. She clearly has a special focus on women, as she is intimately aware of what we struggle with (emotional eating/struggling with those last 5-10 stubborn pounds, etc.). It's thanks to her that I now feel confident when I go to the gym and do my own routines. She taught me the importance of strength training, and basically valuing the feeling of being strong as a woman. What she offers is more than just personal training, though: she also monitors your food intake and tracks your overall activity level to get you towards your own personal goals.

But the (health)/life lessons you learn along the way are what stays with you: the noticeable inflammatory effects certain foods have on your physical appearance (as noted in periodic photos and weigh-ins and measurements taken by Sigrid). Finally, and one of my favourite things, she has her own app, which seamlessly aggregates information from a) your MyFitnessPal, b) your steps, c) the measurements she takes, and d) your customized strength training routines into one integrated, nice visualization platform - I could just click into the app at any time and see how I was doing that day - it was EXTREMELY helpful in helping me stay on track, and Sigrid could leave comments in the app about my nutrition, steps, etc etc. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SIGRID to anyone new to fitness or looking to up their fitness game - she is a life changer :)”
